When do you feel amazing? What inspires you? What activities make you feel useful, vital, better than before?

The answers to these questions will lead you to your PASSION.

Passion is important in business. All small business owners need passion for their work if the business is going to succeed.

According to Danielle LaPorte, “Passion will always move you in the direction of your authentic self” – and I couldn’t agree more.

Prior to working this out I lived a compartmentalised life where aspects of me were kept separate. I am a Mother, environmentalist/feminist, intuitive/Reiki Master, breast cancer thriver, Accountant/Money Mentor and more…

It was eye opening for me to realise I could integrate my life experience with my gifts, my education and work experience with my values. Not only have I thrived but so has my business. It has simplified my life and enabled me to be my true authentic self in business.

Passion is what drives you. Passion keeps you going despite the difficulties that your business will inevitably come across.

While you don’t necessarily have to be passionate about “what” you’re selling or doing, you can be passionate about starting a business or being self-employed. You can be passionate about the freedom and flexibility of being your own boss. You can be passionate about providing a service and helping others.

What are you passionate about? I urge you to think about this and take some time to explore your passion.

I hope this blog post inspires some creative thinking about your business and how you can use your unique talents to serve your community.
