Earlier this month we celebrated International Women’s Day. This year’s theme was Balance for Better, supporting gender equality.
I am a feminist at heart and extremely passionate about supporting other women to be the best versions of themselves and build a thriving bookkeeping business with passion, inspiration and persistence.
In the recent edition of the Financy Women’s Index for the March Quarter, it was reported that Australian women have made steady gains in employment, educational attainment and narrowing the gender pay gap.
But it’s been more challenging for us in other areas, particularly in leadership, workforce gender diversity, underemployment and in superannuation.
Many women in past and present have overcome fears to reach new heights and make advancements in the movement for gender and financial equality.
I recently attended a conference in Brisbane specifically for women in business. It was two days of business insights, strategy, marketing and inspiration. I love these events as it always fills my cup and allows me to work from a heart-centered space.
We gain more courage when we surround ourselves with others who believe in our dreams. That is why I created the Bookkeepers Business Studio, an online tribe of bookkeepers who are sharing their journey of building a successful practice and designing the life they are truly meant to have.
It is a wonderful Facebook Group Community for bookkeepers to come together to get assistance with their business, to help others and to just not feel so alone in their business journey.

It takes courage to go out on your own and achieve success in a bookkeeping practice.
